Bakso Noodles at Perhentian Kajang

For those of you who are new to the area, and are looking for really cheap food, feel free to come and try Bakso noodles at the Perhentian Kajang Station. What’s unique about the dish is that it is not Malaysian but from Indonesia. Situated just a bus ride away, the noodles are sold only on Monday and Friday as this is when the pasar malam or night market’s are open. For those interested there are two competing stalls which sell the Bakso. One is just called Bakso stall the other is called Bakso Goyang Lidah.

After sampling both stalls here is what we found.

Bakso                                      vs                                      Bakso Goyang Lidah

Price :   RM3.00                                                                                        RM 3.50

Advantage:  Cheaper. Also the meatball                                  Free drinks.(Sirap water)

has quail eggs in them                                          But judging by the quality,

(tiny bird eggs) for real                                          better bring your own bottled                                                                                        water

Wifi:  Non existent for both, it’s a pasar malam ma.

Goyang lidah also has three types of noodles compared to Bakso which has two which are bihun and mee. Goyang Lidah has an additional mee ayam which looks like it is made from maggi noodles.

Please note both stalls give equally small helpings, but Bakso gives extra noodles for no additional charge :)

As for the taste both are about the same but it seems Goyang Lidah is more popular.

Please try them for yourself and rate both stalls.
